FINISH Lance Stroll, Romain Grosjean, Sergio Perez, Brendon Hartley, Kevin Magnussen and Sergey Sirotkin round out the field.
FINISH Marcus Ericsson, Stoffel Vandoorne and Pierre Gasly finished just outside the points.
FINISH Fernando Alonso wins the 'B' Championship race, with Carlos Sainz, Charles Leclerc and Nico Hulkenberg also picking up points.
FINISH Valtteri Bottas, Kimi Raikkonen and Daniel Ricciardo round out the top six.
FINISH Hamilton takes victory and moves 40 points clear of Sebastian Vettel, who finishes in P3. Max Verstappen splits the pair with a P2 finish, another Red Bull podium.
FINISH LEWIS HAMILTON WINS THE SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX!!!
Lap 60 ONE LAP TO GO! Lewis Hamilton starts the final lap of the grand prix.
Lap 59 Charles Leclerc and Nico Hulkenberg are in the final points-paying spots, in P9 and P10.
Lap 59 Daniel Ricciardo has dropped back from Kimi Raikkonen and it seems that the Australian's challenge for the top five is done for the day.
Lap 58 Further down, Fernando Alonso has that P7 spot ahead of fellow Spaniard Carlos Sainz. There is a 20s gap between the two.
Lap 58 THREE LAPS TO GO: It is Hamilton's to lose.
Lap 57 Vettel is now 21s behind Max Verstappen. The motor must be turned down on that Ferrari, surely..?
Lap 56 FIVE TO GO: (56/61) HAM - VER (6.0) - VET (26.6) - BOT (36.1) - RAI (36.9) - RIC (38.5) - ALO (94.4) - SAI (+1) - LEC (+1) - HUL (+1) - ERI (+1) - VAN (+1) - GRO (+1) - GAS (+1) - HAR (+1) - PER (+1) - MAG (+1) - SIR (+2)
Lap 55 There is still just the one retirement from this grand prix, with Esteban Ocon out on Lap 1.
Lap 54 Ricciardo has dropped back from Raikkonen by three seconds on that last lap.
Lap 54 "That 1.2s can **** off" says Bottas about how close he is to Nico Hulkenberg.
Lap 53 Bottas has still not got closer to Hulkenberg to lap the German. Meanwhile, Raikkonen and Ricciardo are staring down the gearbox of the Silver Arrows.
Lap 52 Ricciardo is now within DRS range of Kimi Raikkonen.
Lap 51 Kevin Magnussen sets a new lap record on fresh tyres. A 1:41.905, more than 1.4s quicker than Ricciardo's lap a couple of minutes ago.
Lap 51 TEN TO GO: (51/61) HAM - VER (2.8) - VET (13.7) - BOT (18.8) - RAI (19.7) - RIC (20.9) - ALO (79.7) - SAI (96.3) - LEC (+1L) - HUL (+1L)
Lap 50 Bottas is claiming that there should be blue flags for Nico Hulkenberg, but the Finn is not close enough to the Renault.
Lap 49 Daniel Ricciardo puts in a 1:43.335 toast a new race lap record around the Marina Bay circuit.
Lap 49 At the front, Hamilton still continues to lead from Max Verstappen and Sebastian Vettel. Kimi Raikkonen is within DRS range behind Valtteri Bottas, while Daniel Ricciardo is a couple of seconds behind the two Finns.
Lap 48 As it stands, Hamilton will have a 40 point lead in the Championship, while Fernando Alonso will move up from P11 to P8 in the standings, just three points behind Nico Hulkenberg.
Lap 47 Sirotkin receives a five second time penalty for forcing Hartley off the track. He pits for a second time, taking the penalty before the pit stop.
Lap 46 Perez and Sirotkin battle for a third time, with the Mexican getting past cleanly for a second time. The stewards are now investigating Sirotkin for pushing Hartley off the track a few laps earlier.
Lap 46 Bottas (P4) has just 3.5s covering himself, Raikkonen and Ricciardo.
Lap 45 FERNANDO ALONSO SETS A NEW LAP RECORD!! FERNANDO f****** ALONSO!!
Lap 45 Sergey Sirotkin forces Brendon Hartley off the road at Turn 14. The Russian's tyres have completely gone. Meanwhile, Ricciardo is now within a second of Raikkonen.
Lap 44 Carlos Sainz gets past Marcus Ericsson, who is still yet to stop, and is 13 seconds behind fellow Spaniard Alonso.
Lap 44 Romain Grosjean has been given a five second penalty for ignoring blue flags as Hamilton and Verstappen tried to get through that gaggle of cars earlier.
Lap 44 Ricciardo puts in a new race lap record with a 1:43.6.
Lap 43 Alonso now has a cushion of over eight seconds to Marcus Ericsson for that P7 spot. The 'best of the rest' slot could be going to McLaren today.
Lap 42 No further action for either Magnussen or Hartley after the "passing off track" incident down into Turn 8.
Lap 41 TWENTY TO GO: (41/61) HAM VER VET BOT RAI RIC ALO ERI SAI VAN LEC HUL STR GRO GAS SIR HAR MAG PER
Lap 41 The Mexican is right behind Sirotkin once again, having put on fresh tyres after causing the collision earlier. He gets past the Russian this time round.
Lap 40 Sergio Perez is given a drive-through penalty for causing a collision with Sergey Sirotkin.
Lap 40 Alonso remains in P7 after the long first stint, with Sainz in P9 and Leclerc in P11.
Lap 39 Alonso and Leclerc now pit for their only stop of the grand prix.
Lap 39 Magnussen and Hartley are under investigation for the Kiwi getting past Magnussen after going off the track at Turn 7.
Lap 38 The top five are back within eight seconds of each other as the lapped traffic has held up Hamilton and Verstappen.
Lap 38 Carlos Sainz comes into the pits for his only scheduled stop.
Lap 38 Verstappen is right behind Lewis Hamilton as they tussle in and around the lapped traffic.
Lap 37 Hartley and Magnussen both come into the pits for a second time. Alonso, Sainz, Leclerc and Ericsson are still yet to come in.
Lap 36 Hamilton is now coming up to lapped traffic, with Magnussen, Hartley, Gasly, Grosjean and Sirotkin all in front of the Brit.
Lap 35 Daniel Ricciardo bangs in a new fastest lap, in the 1:43s.
Lap 35 With everything going on in that battle, Alonso and Sainz now have over 45 seconds to the rest of their challengers for when they want to pit.
Lap 34 Hulkenberg then gets past Sirotkin around the outside of Turn 5. The Renault driver gets into P13.
Lap 34 Sergio Perez causes another incident. The Mexican stupidly moves across into Sergey Sirotkin's path.
Lap 33 "Everything looks all okay to us" says Hamilton's race engineer.
Lap 33 The current air temperature is still 29C, despite it being 9pm in Singapore time.
Lap 32 This Perez-Sirotkin battle is helping Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz. The Spanish pair remain in P7 and P8 having not pitted, and they now have 40 seconds between themselves and the P13-P14 battle.
Lap 31 At the front, Hamilton still leads from Verstappen and Vettel.
Lap 31 Charlie Whiting has had his say, and that Perez needs to be closer for there to be any problems with Sirotkin. Another reason for the Mexican to get angry.
Lap 30 Perez nearly runs into the back of Sirotkin into Turn 13. Nico Hulkenberg is now right behind the pair.
Lap 29 "Charlie is not doing anything about him? He really wants me to crash?" says Sergio Perez about Sergey Sirotkin. The Russian is still ahead of the Mexican for P13 and P14.
Lap 28 Hamilton, Verstappen, Vettel, Bottas, Raikkonen and Ricciardo are back to where they started for the top six.
Lap 27 The Australian comes out in P6, but he has the freshest tyres of the lot. He has the (US) on his Red Bull.
Lap 27 Ricciardo now pits from the lead. Hamilton is back up to P1.
Lap 26 Gasly now comes in to get rid of those (HS) tyres, whilst Magnussen also pits.
Lap 26 Charles Leclerc gets past Pierre Gasly for P9. That will be a battle we will see in the future. It might be Sauber v Toro Rosso now but from next year onwards it will be Ferrari v Red Bull.
Lap 26 "There are some raindrops around the track but we don't expect any heavy rain." That is according to Simon Rennie, Danny Ric's race engineer.
Lap 25 The team bosses are now leaning off the pit walls to check if there is rain in the air..
Lap 25 There is now half a minute between Alonso and Perez. A mistake from Force India to pit the Mexican.
Lap 24 Hamilton has the gap to Ricciardo down to nine seconds. The other Red Bull of Max Verstappen is four seconds behind.
Lap 23 The battle for the 'best of the rest' is now in the hands of Fernando Alonso. Sergio Perez has found himself caught up behind Sergey Sirotkin's Williams, which has already pitted.
Lap 23 Daniel Ricciardo now becomes the next men to lead the Singapore Grand Prix. Maybe Red Bull will use the Australian as a backing-up tool to help Verstappen win the race?
Lap 22 No they will not.. Raikkonen pits and goes with the (S). He comes out in P6, five-six seconds behind Bottas.
Lap 21 Raikkonen says on the team radio that his (HS) are still okay.. Could they try and back Hamilton up?
Lap 20 Hamilton, Verstappen, Vettel and Bottas (P3-P6) are covered by nine seconds. Vettel has already been on the team radio saying that his purple (US) will not make it to the end. A mistake from Ferrari?
Lap 19 Raikkonen and Ricciardo carry on in the lead, with a ten second lead from Hamilton.
Lap 18 VERSTAPPEN GETS AHEAD OF VETTEL ON THE PIT LANE EXIT!!
Lap 17 Verstappen now comes in from the lead of the race with Raikkonen taking over. The (S) go on to the Red Bull.
Lap 16 Grosjean and Hartley have also come in to get rid of the (HS), with Alonso now up to P8.
Lap 16 Now, Bottas comes in, with Verstappen and Raikkonen staying out. The Mercedes Finn comes out in P7. Meanwhile, Vettel gets past Perez for P6.
Lap 15 Nico Hulkenberg has also pitted from P11, so the (HS) runners are starting to come in to the pits now. That is three in already.
Lap 15 Hamilton gets out ahead of Sergio Perez in P5, clear of Sebastian Vettel.
Lap 15 Mercedes are now bringing in Hamilton, but they will go for the (S) tyres. A strategy difference between the top two.
Lap 14 FERRARI PIT VETTEL! The (US) go on the red #5 car. The German comes out in P7 ahead of the Grosjean/Alonso/Sainz battle.
Lap 14 There are spots of rain in the paddock apparently.. Could this be another game changer for this Singapore Grand Prix. Meanwhile, Fernando Alonso is now right behind Romain Grosjean. The (US) are coming to the fore now, while the (HS) is struggling.
Lap 13 Another fastest lap! A 1:44.9 sees Hamilton move to over two seconds ahead.
Lap 12 Hamilton sets another new fastest lap with a 1:45.5 and extends the lead to 1.9s. Vettel has the same gap to P3 man Verstappen.
Lap 12 Meanwhile, Sergio Perez is in control of the 'best of the rest' P7 slot. He has a 7.1s lead to Romain Grosjean in P8. However, Fernando Alonso is the first man on the (US) and is just 1.9s behind the Haas driver.
Lap 11 The top three are still within two seconds, but neither Vettel, nor Verstappen can get close enough to the guy in front.
Lap 10 GAP TO LEADER AFTER TEN LAPS (10/61): HAM - VET (1.0) - VER (1.8) - BOT (3.3) - RAI (4.6) - RIC (7.8) - PER (9.8) - GRO (14.8) - ALO (17.1) - SAI (19.8)
Lap 9 "The car is really good" says Max Verstappen. He currently sits in P3.
Lap 8 Hamilton puts in a new fastest lap with a 1:46.7, more than ten seconds slower than pole position.
Lap 8 Max Verstappen sets a purple sector for the middle part of the lap, as he closes the gap to Vettel for P2 and P3.
Lap 7 There have been no position changes since the Safety Car period with the 19 runners still in the same position.
Lap 6 DRS is now enabled, with the top three covered by less than 1.5s.
Lap 5 Hamilton has a lead of over a second by the end of the first lap after the Safety Car.
Lap 4 HAMILTON BOLTS FOR IT THROUGH TURN 22
Lap 4 News from the opening three laps: - Max Verstappen is still having problems with his engine, with another 'false neutral' - No further action for the Force India crash - Sirotkin has pitted and put on the (S) tyres and is now at the back of the field (P19) - Safety Car is in this lap

Lap 2 So, of the (US) runners, Fernando Alonso leads the way in P9, with Carlos Sainz right behind him in P10. Nico Hulkenberg is the lowest of the (HS) runners, down in P11.

START Force India hits Force India, as Sergio Perez squeezed Esteban Ocon into the wall on the exit of Turn 3.
START SAFETY CAR, WHAT A SURPRISE!
START ESTEBAN OCON IS OUT OF THE RACE AT TURN THREE!
20:12 Here we go, the cars are starting to line-up on the grid.. Hamilton, Verstappen, Vettel the front three.
20:11 FORMATION LAP IS UNDERWAY!
20:10 The top ten are all on the (HS) as are Pierre Gasly and Brendon Hartley. Lance Stroll, starting from the back, is on the (S), while the rest of the bottom ten are on the (US).
20:09 A reminder how the top six lines up: Hamilton, Verstappen Vettel, Bottas Raikkonen, Ricciardo
20:07 THREE MINUTES TO GO! Final reminder to get comfortable, grab the snacks and drinks, and get ready for some action in Singapore!
20:06 Finally, will we see a Safety Car? There have been 17 SC periods in the 10 previous Singapore races, with a 100% record. If I was a betting man, I would say that there will be a Safety Car this evening.
20:04 Or could Max Verstappen cause chaos at the front by taking the lead? That would arguably be the big surprise.. And what about the second drivers.. Can Kimi or Valtteri get in amongst it and help their title-chasing team-mates?
20:02 So.. Will Lewis Hamilton lead away from the front? Or will Sebastian Vettel get past the Red Bull and cause the Brit problems throughout the race?
19:58 The national anthem is out of the way and the drivers are back at their cars. We are so close to the start of the original night race!
19:55 15 MINUTES UNTIL LIGHTS OUT!
19:54 Of course, as we go into the final six races of the season, all 20 drivers have now scored points in 2017 as Sergey Sirotkin finished P10 in Monza last time out.
19:49 Nico Hulkenberg continues to lead the 'best of the rest' Championship, with 52 points. The German is ahead of Kevin Magnussen, Sergio Perez, Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso, who are all within eight points of the Hulk.
19:46 Max Verstappen is leading the Red Bull battle in the Championship. The Dutchman has a 12 point lead over the departing Daniel Ricciardo.
19:42 Kimi Raikkonen is third in the Championship standings, but is 92 points behind Hamilton. The second Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas is a further five points back.
19:40 Sebastian Vettel is the chaser, 30 behind, with a huge gap behind him to the next contender in the title race.
19:38 Looking at the Championship, pole-sitter Lewis Hamilton has control of his own destiny. The Brit leads the title race by 30 points.
19:35 The back three feature both Williams, once again. Stoffel Vandoorne is in P18 ahead of the pair, with neither man getting into the 1:40s or below. Sergey Sirotkin lines up ahead of Lance Stroll on the back row.
19:32 The two Toro Rossos are in P15 and P17, with Pierre Gasly ahead of Brendon Hartley. Kevin Magnussen's Haas is snuggled in between the two.
19:29 The seventh row is a Sauber lock-out, with the departing Charles Leclerc in P13 ahead of Marcus Ericsson.
19:25 It's an all-Spanish sixth row at the Marina Bay circuit, with Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz lining up in P11 and P12 respectively. They are the first two drivers to have free tyre choice, which could prove crucial in getting them into the points places.
19:23 Rounding off the top 10 are Esteban Ocon, who unfortunately is set to be without a seat next season, and Renault's Nico Hulkenberg. All the top 10 will be starting the race on the hypersoft tyre.
19:20 Sergio Perez finished best of the rest in qualifying and will start from P7. He lines up alongside Romain Grosjean in the Haas.
19:15 The two Finns are next with Valtteri Bottas in P4 ahead of Kimi Raikkonen. Completing the third row is Daniel Ricciardo, who has not been on the podium since his victory in Monaco. Ouch.
19:10 Joining Hamilton on the front row is Max Verstappen, who produced an equally impressive lap despite continuing niggly problems with his Renault engine. He got himself ahead of Sebastian Vettel, who starts P3 and is under big pressure to keep himself in the title picture. He currently has a 30-point gap to overhaul.
19:05 Let's run through the grid, shall we? Lewis Hamilton is on pole position after producing a gob-smacking 1:36.015 in Q3; nobody is quite sure how he managed it, himself included. Seven of the last nine pole-sitters in Singapore have gone on to win the race.
19:00 Hello and welcome to the Marina Bay circuit for round 15 on the 2018 calendar - the Singapore Grand Prix. We go racing under the lights in one hour and 10 minutes.
16:03 So it is perfectly poised to be a six-way battle in the race tomorrow. Join us then for the Singapore Grand Prix. Bye for now.
16:02 Hamilton, Verstappen, Vettel, Bottas, Raikkonen, Ricciardo the top six. Not a single one of the top six improved their positions during the second runs in Q3.
16:02 LEWIS HAMILTON TAKES POLE POSITION! THE 200TH POLE FOR AN ENGLISHMAN IN F1.
16:01 Bottas stays in P4... Hamilton has pitted..
16:01 Bottas stays in P4... Hamilton has pitted..
16:00 Kimi will be no higher than P5.
15:59 Romain Grosjean has put a lap in the gap and gone into P7, the 'best of the rest'.
15:58 NINETY SECONDS TO GO! The final qualifying laps under the lights are on the way...
15:56 Hamilton's lap is 3.4s quicker than last year's pole position. An immense lap from the four-time World Champion.
15:54 Behind Daniel Ricciardo, Nico Hulkenberg has P7 after the first runs, ahead of both Force Indias. Ocon and Perez are separated by just 0.047s, with the Frenchman in P8.
15:53 Hamilton, Verstappen (0.3s), Vettel (0.6s), Bottas (0.7s), Raikkonen (1.3s), Ricciardo (1.6s) is the top six so far.
15:52 A 1:36.0! WOW! Lewis Hamilton takes provisional pole.
15:52 Kimi Raikkonen puts in the first flying lap of the session, with a 1:37.4.
15:50 Romain Grosjean is the only man not on track in the opening few minutes of Q3.
15:48 Vettel? Hamilton? Raikkonen? Ricciardo? Bottas? Verstappen? Who will take pole in Singapore? Q3 IS UNDERWAY!
15:46 So through to the final part of qualifying are the two Red Bulls, two Ferraris, two Mercedes, two Force Indias, and the sole Renault of Nico Hulkenberg and Haas of Romain Grosjean.
15:43 It looks like it could be a six-way battle for pole position, with Ferrari, Red Bull and Mercedes all up there. However, could Ferrari and Mercedes have that infamous 'party mode' up their sleeves?
15:41 The five men out of Q2: Alonso, Sainz, Leclerc, Ericsson, Gasly.
15:39 Vettel only manages P5 after losing time behind cars on their out lap in the final sector.
15:38 Raikkonen moves into the 1:37.1s to go P1.
15:37 The two Red Bulls stay in the garage with Verstappen (P1) and Ricciardo (P3) comfortable with their Q2 times.
15:35 The midfield battle looks tight once again. Sergio Perez is slightly out on his own in P4, with a 1:38.3 (1.1s behind). After that, Hulkenberg, Ocon, Sainz, Alonso and Grosjean are separated by just 0.3s.

15:33 Charles Leclerc becomes the fourth man to bang the wall at the exit of Turn 21.
15:32 "It is too slow" says Kimi to his engineer. The (US) experiment looks to be over for Ferrari. Both Raikkonen and Vettel will box and go again on the (HS) tyres to make sure they reach the top ten.
15:31 Vettel's first timed lap on the (US) is 1.6s slower than the new fastest lap, set by Max Verstappen. The Dutchman put in a 1:37.2.
15:30 Lewis Hamilton breaks the ultimate lap record in Singapore with a 1:37.344, more than a second quicker than his team-mate Valtteri Bottas.
15:29 Raikkonen backs out of his first attempt at a flying lap. Meanwhile, Sebastian Vettel is also out on the (US), with the rest of the field on the (HS) during this second qualifying session.
15:28 Max Verstappen overtakes future team-mate Pierre Gasly into Turn 7.. The race is not until tomorrow..
15:26 Kimi Raikkonen goes out on the (US) tyres to start Q2... A tactical idea to start tomorrow's grand prix?
15:25 Q2 IS UNDERWAY!
15:23 Daniel Ricciardo put in a 1:38.1 in Q1, nearly 1.3s quicker than last year's pole position lap time from Sebastian Vettel.
15:22 So Vandoorne is one of the five men out.. "That was lap was so messy" says the Belgian over the team radio, after clipping the same part of concrete wall that Vettel hit in FP2 yesterday.
15:21 Daniel Ricciardo topped Q1, with the two Ferraris and Romain Grosjean in the top four in the first 18 minutes of qualifying.
15:20 The five out of Q1: Magnussen, Hartley, Vandoorne, Stroll, Sirotkin.
15:19 Lewis Hamilton makes it through in P14... A close call from the Mercedes pit wall.
15:19 Fernando Alonso makes it 15-0 in qualifying this year against his team-mate Stoffel Vandoorne, as the Belgian drops out after hitting the wall at Turn 21.
15:18 Nico Hulkenberg goes P7, while Lewis Hamilton pits and will not go again. He currently sits in P12...
15:16 Just over ninety seconds left in Q1, with the majority lining up for their final timed laps.
15:15 Romain Grosjean puts his Haas into the top four, just five tenths behind Daniel Ricciardo's leading time.
15:14 FOUR MINUTES TO GO: RIC VET RAI VER OCO PER BOT SAI HAM ALO LEC MAG GRO HUL GAS Drop Zone: VAN ERI HAR STR SIR
15:13 Bottas finally puts in his opening lap of the session, going into P7.
15:11 Lance Stroll is the first man to have his time deleted in the session, after making contact with the new yellow painted line on the outside of Turn 7.
15:09 Lewis Hamilton only goes P5 on the (US) tyres, but is immediately knocked down a place as Daniel Ricciardo goes top of the pile with a 1:38.1.
15:07 Mercedes are out on the (US), while everyone else so far has put the (HS) tyres on their car.
15:06 Sebastian Vettel can only manage P4, behind the two Force Indias.
15:05 Charles Leclerc gets ahead of both Haas cars, with a 1:39.7, before Kimi Raikkonen takes us into the 1:38s.
14:04 Kevin Magnussen goes quicker than Romain Grosjean, with a 1:39.8 to start the session.
14:01 The two Haas drivers are the first men out on track.
14:00 Q1 IS UNDERWAY!
13:59 A reminder of the three tyres in use in Singapore. We have the yellow-striped softs (S), the purple-marked ultrasofts (US) and the pink-striped hypersofts (HS) tyres.
13:58 TWO MINUTES TO GO UNTIL QUALIFYING!!
13:57 Who will be the 'best of the rest' in qualifying? Will Renault and Haas continue their rivalry, after the protest following Monza...?
13:56 Can Red Bull breach the top four? Or are Ricciardo and Verstappen just fighting for the third row of the grid this afternoon?
13:54 So will Ferrari get a front row lock-out for the second race in succession? Can Mercedes get in amongst the Scuderia?
13:50 However, Vettel clipped the wall in FP2 and he lost time in the session.. So this one could go either way for the German.
13:47 So Ferrari and Vettel have the upper hand in Singapore.. Could this be the turning point in his season? Could be this be the qualifying session, and race, in which Vettel springs back into the title hunt?
13:43 Fernando Alonso, Nico Rosberg and Felipe Massa have all just had one pole position in Singapore, but it would be a struggle for any of those three to get a second today.
13:41 Looking back in Singapore's history, Sebastian Vettel has been on pole position four times, with Lewis Hamilton at the front of the grid three times in the race's ten year history.
13:38 It is set to be a tight midfield battle, with Renault, Haas, Toro Rosso, Sauber, Force India and McLaren all looking to be the 'best of the rest'.
13:36 The two Mercedes were more than half a second back in FP3 on the (HS) tyres, while Red Bull were around a second back.
13:34 The German put in a 1:38.0 this morning, with Kimi Raikkonen the only man to get within half a second.
13:32 It looks to be a Ferrari pole position to lose, as Sebastian Vettel smashed the absolute lap record around the Marina Bay Street Circuit in FP3 this morning.
14:30 Hello and welcome to our coverage of qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix. The first part of the session will get underway in 30 minutes time.
19:00 Chequered flag! And Ferrari look to be the team to beat heading into qualifying with Mercedes and Red Bull needing to find extra. Join us back here in two hours for the battle for pole position.
18:59 Hulkenberg squeezes into the top 10 with one minute left on the clock. He got a big snap of oversteer at the final corner but manages to ride it out.
18:56 And that is not great reading for Red Bull. Both Ricciardo and Verstappen are a second down on Vettel's Ferrari and are firmly on the third row on that evidence.
18:54 We have not seen much from Verstappen and Ricciardo in this session. They are down in P12 and P15 and neither have done a hypersoft run...until now.
18:51 Ocon moves up to P6 and Gasly enters the top 10 after his flying lap. Williams firmly propping up the rest.
18:49 Lots of traffic for Bottas to negotiate on his latest hypersoft run and as a result he is only able to find minor improvement. Both him and Hamilton and now half a second behind Vettel's benchmark.
18:47 Grosjean has popped himself up to P5 with a qualifying run. He is 1.6 seconds off Vettel's best.
18:44 Bottas can't do any better on his first attack lap and slots into P4 behind Hamilton, a tenth down on his team-mate.
18:42 Not the best first sector from Hamilton but he goes quickest of all through the middle. He loses more time in the final third though and is six tenths down on Vettel. The Ferrari car certainly looked a whole lot more comfortable.
18:40 Improvement from Raikkonen, but it's not enough to topple Vettel. He is three tenths off the pace. Time for the Mercedes response...
18:39 Off Vettel goes for another flyer and goes even quicker through the first sector. However, he is unable to carry that momentum through the rest of the lap and another fastest time ebbs away.
18:34 That is comfortably the best time we have seen this weekend so far. Seven tenths faster than Raikkonen's FP2 time.
18:32 Vettel is going for another qualifying sim run and takes three tenths off his previous best first sector time. He is 1.2 seconds up as he flies over the Anderson bridge before crossing the line with a 1:38.054.
18:29 Both McLaren cars currently in the top 10 after their first flying flaps. Bottas, up to P4, is three tenths behind Ocon who has just shaved another tenth off his personal best.
18:23 Red Bull in no rush in these unrepresentative conditions. Ricciardo is only just coming out of the garage and Verstappen isn't even in his car yet.
18:22 Hamilton also on a race sim run by the looks of it. He slots into P9, 2.4 seconds off the Ferraris. Esteban Ocon currently occupies P3, a second behind Vettel and Raikkonen.
18:16 Bottas, on a different programme to the Ferraris with the soft tyres strapped on, slots into P3 three seconds off the pace.
18:12 Another flyer from Raikkonen, but it's nothing to write home about. He was six tenths down his previous best.
18:10 And it's a 1:40.012 from the Ice Man. Vettel gets the better of him in the first sector but loses time through the middle. He wrestles it back in the third to go 0.004s quicker than his team-mate.
18:06 Raikkonen among the first to set a flying lap on the hypersofts...
18:03 Gasly reporting poor steering on his install lap. "It's pulling to the right," he says on team radio.
18:00 And away we go! Ericsson, Alonso, Sirotkin and Grosjean are the first to bolt out of the garages.
17:56 It's very muggy in Singapore as we cram in the last hour or so of daylight. Hot, humid, and overcast. Drivers are hopping into their cars...
17:50 Williams had a very good outing in Italy with a double points finish, but it appears to be business as usual in Singapore as both Sergey Sirotkin and Lance Stroll have struggled for pace thus far.
17:45 A little bit further down the field, Renault have been showing good pace so far this weekend. Carlos Sainz and Nico Hulkenberg have been in the top 10 in both of Friday's practice sessions.
17:40 Sebastian Vettel said he was his own biggest enemy prior to race weekend and that proved to be case once again after his brush with the barrier in FP2 left him missing out on valuable track time. He completed just 12 laps because of a radiator leak and has some catching up to do today.
17:35 A Red Bull 1-2 kicked off proceedings on Friday in FP1, but FP2 under the night sky saw Ferrari and Mercedes come to the fore. Kimi Raikkonen and Lewis Hamilton were separated just 0.011 seconds.
17:30 Hello and welcome back to the Marina Bay circuit. It's qualifying day! First up is one final hour of practice which begins in 30 minutes. All times are local.
16:04 Join us tomorrow for coverage of the third and final practice session on Saturday morning, before the all-important qualifying session tomorrow afternoon. Bye for now.
16:02 FINAL TIMINGS: RAI HAM VER RIC BOT SAI GRO ALO VET HUL PER ERI OCO LEC MAG VAN HAR GAS STR SIR
16:00 FP2 IS OVER! Kimi Raikkonen set the fastest time in the qualifying runs with a 1:38.699. Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen, Daniel Ricciardo and Valtteri Bottas followed the Finn, while Sebastian Vettel suffered a leak with his Ferrari.
15:59 Meanwhile, the other debutant in 2001 that is still in the sport, Kimi Raikkonen, has achieved 30 podiums since his last grand prix win. That is the most ever in the history of F1.
15:57 Fernando Alonso, should he start the race on Sunday afternoon, will tie for 2nd in the most starts in F1 history, going level with Michael Schumacher and Jenson Button.
15:56 Max Verstappen is reporting "the engine is doing the same thing again"... See 15:34
15:54 Pierre Gasly could have a fine or a penalty on his hands as he tried to enter the pit lane, but went over the kerbs onto the track and back into the pit lane.
15:52 Stroll's brake fire seems to have been caused by one of his own visor tear-offs. After ripping it off and trying to flip it out of the cockpit, it got caught in the brake duct of the right rear, and caused it to overheat.
15:50 Marcus Ericsson spins in Turn 5 on the exit onto the Raffles Boulevard. The Swede almost took out Fernando Alonso, with the two-time World Champion narrowly missing the Sauber as he looped around.
15:47 Hamilton becomes the third man into the pits, ditching his (HS) tyres.
15:44 The two Williams remain bottom of the pile, with Stroll (along with Vettel) the only man in the garage after that small fire.
15:39 It seems to be the end of the session for Vettel, with the German's Ferrari continually leaking out the same fluid.
15:37 Both Mercedes and Kimi Raikkonen are in the process of a (HS) long run, with Hamilton and the Ferrari man running at about the same pace. It could be close come Sunday.
15:34 Verstappen, Vettel and Stroll are the only three cars not on track taking part in their race programmes right now.
15:34 There is also more bad news coming from the Red Bull garage, with Max Verstappen reporting a "misfire or something" as his car accelerated out of Turn 7.
15:33 More bad news in the Williams garage, as Lance Stroll has a small fire on his right rear brake.
15:32 Back down to earth for Williams after their double points finish in Monza. The pair are P19 and P20 in FP2.
15:30 30 MINUTES TO GO IN FP2! The (HS) runs saw Kimi Raikkonen lead the way on qualifying pace, while Sebastian Vettel didn't get a clean lap in on the pink-striped tyres. RAI HAM VER RIC BOT SAI GRO ALO VET HUL PER ERI OCO LEC MAG VAN HAR GAS STR SIR
15:28 We are now into the final part of the second practice session, with the teams now running their race programmes. The final half an hour or so will be used to work out which tyres will be their favourite race tyres come Sunday.
15:26 Vettel's Ferrari is still leaking in the garage. The Ferrari mechanics are still mopping up the red fluid that is coming out of his car. The positives in the situation for the Scuderia... With it being red fluid, they know which part of the radiator the fluid is coming from.
15:23 Vettel is now getting out of his Ferrari. Could this be an end to his FP2 in Singapore. The four-time winner under the lights is 30 points behind Lewis Hamilton in the Championship, and really needs the perfect weekend at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
15:19 The 'best of the rest' slot currently is in the hands of Carlos Sainz. The Spaniard sits 1.5s behind Raikkonen's Ferrari.
15:18 On his return to the pits, Vettel's Ferrari has started to leak. The engine cover is now off his car with the German now the only one to have not put in a lap on the (HS) tyres.
15:16 Ricciardo follows his team-mate to go ahead of Bottas, but remains a tenth behind Verstappen.
15:15 Verstappen moves ahead of Bottas and into P3. The Dutchman improves by three tenths and is now half a second behind Raikkonen's time.
15:13 Sebastian Vettel clips the wall at the exit of Turn 21 and immediately pits. His lap was going to put him into the top three but for now he remains in P9.
15:11 Verstappen, of course, had that issue earlier on in the session, which turned out to be an oil leak in his RB14.
15:11 Max Verstappen is the next of the big boys to go through on the (HS), and puts his Red Bull into P4, still 0.8s behind Raikkonen.
15:09 Hamilton locks up going into Turn 1 and flies around the back of Turn 2 and round the barrier. Meanwhile, Daniel Ricciardo can only manage P4, still 0.8 behind the Ferrari of Kimi Raikkonen.
15:08 Both Stoffel Vandoorne (P19) and Lance Stroll (P20) have only used the (S) tyres, with everyone else having used the (US) or (HS).
15:07 "Small touch left hand side". Brendon Hartley clips the wall at the exit of Turn 19 but is able to carry on in his Toro Rosso.
15:06 Kimi Raikkonen puts in the fastest lap of the session, just 0.011 ahead of Hamilton.
15:05 Only the two Mercedes have put laps in on the (HS) tyres so far.
15:03 Lewis Hamilton goes into the 1:38s, massively quick!!
15:01 Valtteri Bottas goes quickest with a 1:39.3 despite running extremely wide at the fast Turn 22 and 23 at the end of the lap.
15:00 AN HOUR TO GO IN FP2!
15:00 Nico Hulkenberg puts in the first lap on the (HS) tyres, going P5, 0.158 behind Kimi Raikkonen's time on the (US).
14:58 We are starting to get cars out on the (HS) tyres for the second part of this FP2 session. The next twenty-thirty minutes will all be about qualifying pace ahead of tomorrow afternoon. Who will get the quickest time during this part of the session and look favourite for pole on Saturday afternoon?
14:56 Meanwhile, his Red Bull team-mate, Max Verstappen, has an issue with his car, and is currently in the pits.
14:55 On his last lap, Ricciardo moves within 0.06 of Raikkonen, and into P3, with Max Verstappen in between.
14:54 Just four men are out on track currently. Daniel Ricciardo (P4), Sergio Perez (P7), Esteban Ocon (P11) and Stoffel Vandoorne (P18).
14:52 Fernando Alonso, the winner of the infamous 2008 Singapore Grand Prix, puts his McLaren into P7 on the (S), less than a second behind Bottas' Silver Arrows.
14:51 Raikkonen has a 1:40.5, with Max Verstappen, Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo all within a quarter of a second.
14:49 Both Ferraris and Red Bulls have improved on their times, with Kimi Raikkonen now leading the way.
14:46 Nico Hulkenberg leads the rest of the field so far in FP2, but the Renault man is more than a second behind Bottas' Mercedes.
14:45 15 MINUTES GONE: Vettel still leads from Hamilton, with Ricciardo and Verstappen within a quarter of a second. Raikkonen and Bottas are also within half a second of the German.
14:43 Lewis Hamilton goes straight on at Turn 14, having been tucked up behind Vettel's Ferrari. The Brit locked up his front tyres and eventually had to reverse back onto track to get back to the pit lane.
14:42 News coming from Mercedes, Pascal Wehrlein and the team will part ways at the end of the season. It could be a good move for the German, with Esteban Ocon, George Russell and others also coming through the Mercedes Young Driver programme.
14:41 Now Vettel goes quickest by 0.042s.
14:40 Max Verstappen puts his Red Bull on top of the pile for approximately 15 seconds before Lewis Hamilton goes into the 1:40s in his Mercedes.
14:38 Make that Kimi Raikkonen in P1. The Finn puts in a 1:41.2 to go a quarter of a second faster than Vettel.
14:37 Sebastian Vettel goes quickest with a 1:41.5 (US), just under two tenths quicker than Bottas.
14:36 Valtteri Bottas goes straight into the 1:41s on the (US), the tyre that Mercedes favour. Meanwhile, Ferrari have nine sets, out of 13, of the (HS) tyres.
14:34 Grosjean puts in a 1:44.7 to get the session going.
14:32 Charles Leclerc is also one of the early runners in FP2, with the Sauber mechanics having put his right front suspension back together after his crash late on in FP1.
14:31 Romain Grosjean is the first man out on track, with Haas still reeling from the disqualification for the Frenchman after the stewards found the floor on his car was illegal for the Italian Grand Prix.
14:30 FP2 IS UNDERWAY!!
14:28 The track temperature is 41C, with the air temperature at 33C. It is going to be another hot one today!
14:27 The hypersoft tyres are back!! The (HS) is alongside the ultrasoft (US) and soft (S), with Pirelli skipping the red-striped soft tyre for this weekend.
14:25 FIVE MINUTES UNTIL FP2!
14:23 This could also be the last Singapore Grand Prix for Fernando Alonso, who is not retiring from F1 at the end of the 2018 season, but saying 'bye-bye for now'.
14:21 A word on the Charles Leclerc appointment for Ferrari next season. Maurizio Arrivabene has said that the fact Sebastian Vettel wanted Kimi Raikkonen to stay had no influence on the decision made by the bosses at the Scuderia.
14:19 Now, though, night has fallen in Singapore, and with it brings the second practice session of the day. Just over ten minutes until the cars will be under the lights.
14:15 The two Toro Rosso's and two Williams were in the bottom five, with Esteban Ocon's Force India just above them in P15. Stoffel Vandoorne, who looks to be out of the sport come the end of the season, was bottom of the FP1 once again, but only managed to complete 11 laps around the Marina Bay circuit in the daylight.
14:13 Behind the Monegasque driver, Romain Grosjean (P10) and Kevin Magnussen (P13) had their Haas cars in the midfield, alongside Leclerc's team-mate, Marcus Ericsson (P11). Sergio Perez (P12) and Fernando Alonso (P14) put a Force India and McLaren in the mix respectively.
14:11 From P9 back to P14, there was just six tenths of a second separating the midfield. Charles Leclerc was the man in P9, but he crashed at the end of the session, breaking the right front suspension on his Sauber.
14:08 The Renaults were the 'best of the rest' in FP1, with Nico Hulkenberg ahead of the two Mercedes in P5. Carlos Sainz split the two Silver Arrows, with the seventh fastest time.
14:05 The two Ferraris followed the Red Bulls on the timing sheets, while the two Mercedes struggled, only ending up P6 and P8 in the first practice session.
14:02 Red Bull will be looking to continue their impressive start to the weekend. Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen gave the team a 1-2 around the Marina Bay Street Circuit in FP1.
14:00 Hello and welcome to our coverage of the second practice session at the Singapore Grand Prix. The cars should be coming out for FP2 when the green light goes on in 30 minutes time.
18:00 There is the checkered flag and it's a Red Bull 1-2 to kick-off proceedings in Singapore but remember, these are the least representative conditions and times with this being a night race. Join us again in a couple of hours for FP2 under the lights and a much better look at who could come out on top this weekend.
17:57 Leclerc has had a moment at Turn 13 and his front right has made contact with the wall over the Anderson Bridge. "Sorry guys, my fault," he says on team radio.
17:55 *copy and paste* Alonso is complaining of "low power" in his McLaren and Vandoorne's session is over after a loss of hydraulic pressure.
17:49 Into the final 10 minutes now as the sun begins to set in Singapore. Long runs appear to be the name of the game as there is not a whole lot of movement on the leaderboard.
17:42 We now have a Red Bull 1-2 as Verstappen improves to P2. The two Ferraris follow next and Hulkenberg is in the lofty heights of P5.
17:41 It's business as usual at the bottom of the timesheet where Stoffel Vandoorne props up the rest of the field. What a miserable, miserable season he is having.
17:35 Raikkonen locks up at Turn 18 and heads down the narrow escape road. He tries to do a full spin round but there is no room and has to do a good old three-point turn to get going again.
17:34 All change at the top again! It's Ricciardo upping the ante with a 1:39.711 to snatch P1 away from Vettel.
17:32 Verstappen, also on the hypers now, sandwiches himself between two Ferraris in P2. He is two tenths down on Vettel's best.
17:27 And now Vettel is the first to drop into the 1:39 barrier with the hypersofts strapped on. All of a sudden it is now a Ferrari 1-2.
17:26 And just like that, Raikkonen goes quickest of everyone with a 1:40.486 - seven tenths quicker than Hamilton.
17:23 Hamilton just about holds it all together this time around, posting a 1:41.232 to go quicker than Bottas by a tenth. Not seen anything of note from Ferrari yet with Vettel down in P8 and Raikkonen in P15.
17:19 Hamilton goes quickest of all through the first sector on the soft tyres, but he struggles to keep them in optimum range throughout the rest of the lap with a couple of lock-ups preventing him from re-taking top spot.
17:14 Bottas, moving on to the soft tyres now, narrows the gap to Ricciardo to just one tenth as we reach the halfway point of the session.
17:09 Perez goes too wide heading into Turn 20 and is the latest to go for a spin. He, too, avoids the barrier.
17:07 "The drivability sucked on that lap," says a brutally honest Ricciardo, even though it's the quickest time set so far.
17:05 A new leader at the top and it's Ricciardo, still on those soft tyres. He is two tenths quicker than Hamilton with a 1:41.814.
17:04 Now Perez in the Force India goes up to P5. Three tenths behind Hamilton on the hypersofts. For reference, Ricciardo and Verstappen's best laps have been on the soft tyres. Ultras for the Mercedes duo.
17:02 Nico Hulkenberg, who will rack up 150 race starts on Sunday, slots into P5 on his latest lap on the softs and pushes Vettel down to P6.
17:00 Red Bull are definite contenders for victory this weekend on one of their stronger circuits. They make a move up the leaderboard with Ricciardo three tenths behind Hamilton in P3; Verstappen four tenths further back, but up to P4.
16:57 Hamilton shaves 0.098 seconds off Bottas' best to become the new session leader. That lap included running a little wide at Turn 7 so more time to find out there for the Brit.
16:55 Bottas increases the pace once again with a 1:42.170, set on the ultrasoft tyres. Hamilton's best has also come on the purple-striped compound. Vettel's best time so far has been with the quickest hypersoft tyres strapped on.
16:51 Bottas goes spinning around at Turn 2 and it is an identical incident to Stroll's earlier off. That greasy kerb is proving to be problematic.
16:48 Track is beginning to bed in now, with Bottas finding nearly another second to drop the session's best lap time to a 1:42.474. Hamilton is now in P2, four tenths behind on his latest effort.
16:45 Bottas pumps in a 1:43.428 to jump to the top of the standings. Vettel and Verstappen complete the top three.
16:39 No messing around from Ferrari, with both drivers putting timed laps on the board in the very early stages. Raikkonen's 1:44.622 is the first real benchmark.
16:36 An early spin on this green, dirty street circuit at the tightly-packed turns 1,2 and 3. It's Lance Stroll in the Williams after taking a little too much kerb. Not real drama, though, and he is back on his way again.
16:30 We have green lights. Ericsson is the first out of the traps for his installation lap.
16:28 It's very warm and very sunny at the Marina Bay circuit at the moment. With the race taking place under the night sky on Sunday, this session is all about getting your eye in on this tricky street circuit.
16:21 Also out of the door is Stoffel Vandoorne at McLaren and he will be replaced by British rising star Lando Norris in 2019. The Belgian's chances of staying on the grid look extremely unlikely and has already said IndyCar would be of interest to him.
16:11 If you missed the big news in the build-up to Singapore, Ferrari and Sauber are swapping drivers next season with Kimi Raikkonen returning to Sauber and 20-year-old Charles Leclerc stepping up to Ferrari. Meanwhile Antonio Giovinazzi is being tipped as Raikkonen's 2019 team-mate leaving Marcus Ericsson out in the cold.
16:00 Welcome to the Marina Bay circuit, home of the Singapore Grand Prix. This is first practice, arguably the least representative practice session in the entire season given that the sun is still out and the rest of the weekend takes place at night. All times are local.
